Amazing little restaurant with awesome food, views and service. We drove the boat there. We found easy boat docking. The docks are really nice and we felt save leaving the boat while we dined. We were greeted right away and given a choice of a table or a booth. We were a party of 5 . Server greeted us quickly and was very friendly and efficient. 3 of us ordered chicken tenders. We found out from hostess they ran out and brought back menues so we could reorder when the waitress arrived. I switched to a chicken grilled sandwich with hot buffalo sauce. It was amazing. I was happy I changed my order. I had it with the side salad and would definitely order it again. My husband had the blackened grouper sandwich. He said it was one of the best he had had. Ryan switched his order to the hot wings and said they were the best he ever had. Everyone was very happy and excited to return again soon. All the employees acted like we were visiting their home with that warm hospitality. Loved it there. Came back again after the 2 back to back hurricanes. Happy to see the restaurant did well and food was amazing as always. Service was terrific. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with Buffalo sauce on the side it was amazing.
The Lazy Flamingo in Bokeelia is a hidden gem right on the water at the marina. The atmosphere is exactly what you want in a coastal Florida spot—laid-back, friendly, and with a warm nautical theme inside that makes you feel right at home. The triple-tail fish is as fresh as it gets, and you can order it grilled, blackened, or fried—each way is delicious, but the blackened was my personal favorite. Portions are generous, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. Another big plus—the fully-covered outdoor patio is dog-friendly, so you can enjoy the breeze and water views with your Furry-friend by your side. Our little Pippa felt like a Queen when she was a served a large bowl of ice water! Perfect after a day of touring around Pine Island. If you’re anywhere near Bokeelia, make sure to stop by the Lazy Flamingo. Great food, great vibe, and a perfect spot to relax by the marina. Bonus points for free parking.
Came here especially for the oysters on the half shell and it checked all the boxes for view, atmosphere, freshness and authenticity. I will be coming here often for fresh oysters.
So happy with our experience at this restaurant for a table of 8! We were seated quickly for a late lunch on the island. Staff was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the grouper sandwiches, burgers, impossible vegetarian burger and the fish platter. Everything was served hot and was really good. We arrived via boat after a day on the water. The boat slips are very well maintained. The bait shop next to the restaurant was also a great addition to the experience
They allow dogs on the patio outside, my pup even got a fresh bowl of ice water which is just so nice. Blackened chicken sandwich was one of the best I’ve had. Seasoning is great but it was a nice big piece of chicken breast! My favorite restaurant on the island!
Decided last Saturday to drive to a restaurant we’ve never been to for lunch, kind of a throw a dart at a map kind of day. We ended up at the Lazy Flamingo in Bokeelia. The drive through Matlacha was heart breaking the town still hasn’t recovered from the hurricanes. The restaurant is near the end of the island and the food was outstanding - the service couldn’t have been better. The fresh catch was triple tail, I ordered the sandwich fried, it was perfect lightly coated and fried. My wife got the grouper bronzed, sort of of a super mild jerk seasoning - again couldn’t have been better. The Lazy Flamingo overlooks the marina where we watched charter captains come in and clean the catch. Highly recommend making the drive.
I haven't had fried Oysters in so long!! I was happy that they had them. Everything we ate was delicious. And the view is nice.
Came here on a chilly day so we were the only ones outside with our pupper. Beer was ice cold & clas were delish. Wofting smoke scent was scrumptious & the smell of food also!
